Kelly & Willow

When Kelly first married her husband Eric their first baby was a 15lb spaniel-cross named Sasha. Sasha was very special to the family – in fact, once they expanded their family further, both of their children’s first words were Sasha’s name – even if it came out as “Sada” and “Sasa”. Sasha was a small dog with BIG dog personality, always playing in the ocean and jumping as high as possible to try to get on the counter to steal food. She was so very much loved and is missed everyday. Sasha has given Kelly so much inspiration for her business and gave her the understanding that pets are such important members of our families.

Kelly is proud to call New Westminster her home. She loves New West’s strong sense of community and is excited about the changes to the Downtown area. Kelly has loved animals all her life and is very happy that she can combine this love with her experience and education.

In Kelly’s spare time she loves spending time with her husband Eric and her two wonderful children, Lauryn and Markus. Together they enjoy sports and spend as much time as they can with their three beautiful kitties.

Kelly worked as a Veterinary Practice Manager for 8 years and worked as a Veterinary Office Assistant for a total of 23 years.

  • Bachelor of Business Administration – Simon Fraser University (2012)
  • VOA – Veterinary Office Assistant Diploma – Granville Business College (1999)

Kelly’s New Westminster Animal Shelter Rescue Family

Willow & Hoot – Willow & Hoot are 8 year old siblings that Kelly’s family adopted in 2017. These kitties are the most friendly, cuddly cats and they have amazing personalities. Kelly’s family argue all the time over which kitty is their favourite and this changes constantly.  These kitties were cared for by a wonderful lady who passed away. It is obvious that Hoot and Willow were so loved and that love continues with Kelly’s family.

Taz – Taz was a very sweet cockapoo, who Kelly’s family adopted when he was 9 years old. When he first came home he had a little bit of an attitude, but with lots of one on one training and extra love he became such a cuddly and caring friend. You may have seen him sometimes at the clinic walking around and visiting. He sadly passed away earlier this year and he is very missed by Kelly as she spent so much time with him during COVID cuddled up on the couch working together.

Snoopy – Snoopy was the kindest soul – a beautiful West Highland Terrier.  When Kelly’s family adopted him he had just been diagnosed with Mast Cell Cancer and Diabetes.  Kelly felt that she could take care of him being in the veterinary field and she held out hope that the cancer hadn’t metastasized.  Sadly the cancer spread, but Kelly’s family spent as much time as they could with him as he had so much energy for the last year and gave them so much love.  Kelly’s family misses Snoopy very much, but feel that his kind heart was meant to be such a big part of their lives.

Kelly feels blessed to have met and been a part of all her adopted pet’s lives.
