Dr. Alberto Schlicht

Area of Focus: DENTISTRY: Advanced and Routine/Preventive Dentistry, FEAR FREE CERTIFIED

Dr Alberto’s current professional interest is solely focussed on veterinary dentistry and he is in the process of completing his Certification in Small Animal Dentistry.

Dr. Alberto developed a connection with animals during his childhood – spent among howler monkeys and silent sloths in the jungle of Venezuela.  This unusual start encouraged him to work with animals and he developed such an ease of care with our furry friends that even the most timid become calm in his presence.

Dr. Alberto lives in the Lower Mainland with his beautiful wife Michelle and their teenage son Oliver who share his love of travel, spontaneous road trips and the gentlemanly sport of rugby.

Dr. Alberto enjoys talking with pet guardians and explaining medical conditions and the needs of their furry companions as simply and clearly as possible.  He is absolutely passionate about veterinary dentistry and it has become the focus of his professional development.  He has accumulated extensive dental training with veterinary dental specialists and continues to attend conferences, lectures and wet laboratories on a regular basis.  To see Dr. Alberto’s advanced dentistry experience and cases please visit his instagram page @albertovetdental.

Dental problems are often referred to as the ‘silent disease’ as our pets cannot say: “I have a toothache” despite it having a major impact on their daily lives and well-being.

If you have concerns about your pet’s dental health, please call or email us to schedule an appointment with our veterinarians.
